The Highest Priority

If someone were to save our life, gratitude would be the response. When we are given a gift that we could never afford, we make our appreciation known. Worship is the expression of that gratitude and appreciation. God came as Jesus to save us. His love is without condition. Our worship recognizes His authority as creator of our universe as well as the savior of our souls. Worship, therefore, is of the highest priority for the believer as well as the corporate church.

Christianity is unique among religions in that it is based upon a personal relationship with God.Exodus 34:14 says, “Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.” The core of our faith is our personal interaction with our creator.

Worship is an act celebrating that personal relationship. Through worship, we communicate with our God. Through worship, we acknowledge His lordship and divinity. Whether expressed through music, shouting, prayer or other means, worship is, at its core, the expression of intimacy with God. While we are to live in obedience to God’s commands, it is not a cold, mindless obedience that He desires. Deuteronomy 6:5 says, “Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”

We are told to make disciples and live in obedience to the commands of God. 1 John 3:24 says, “Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them.” Each member of the church is called to worship God. Each of us is to spend time in prayer, speaking to God from the heart. We are to read His words in the Scriptures and meditate on them in our hearts. Private time of worship is essential to our personal spiritual maturity. As a body of believers, we are to be consistently involved in worship through singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, through prayer, through gaining knowledge of the Word, and through the exercise of our spiritual gifts for the benefit of the church and the Kingdom of God. Worship is of the highest priority for the church.

My Song of Praise....

Levi. Mammy Lyzette and Dave
It has been a time of warfare as most of my loved ones have been attacked with sickness in their bodies. My wife and two sons have not been doing fine of late but I have found courage and strength in the Lord, just like David encouraged himself in the Lord when all around him was against him,and his loyal people wanted to stone him,for a moment I felt like all around me was against me since I was the only one healthy at home, yet in all this I have trusted God to heal and for sure when all seem distorted that's when God is glorified most. Worship is so enjoyable when all seemingly is going on well with you, when you have money in your accounts, when you have a good pillow to lay your head and when your relationships are healthy. The enemy knows that in such times when all is going well your faith tank is full. So what he does; he leaves you until an opportune time, comes and checks again to see if all is well, he checks on you while looking for an opportunity to strike, that's why it is very important for you not to give him even an inch of your life. The moment you give him an inch, he will take you captive and take charge of you. Don't be as though you are ignorant of his schemes; David pledged to bless the Lord at all times because he knew the bigness of his God over the challenges and wars he faced. His victory was in knowing his God and what He can do.For sure this has been my only weapon in such a time,I chose to give praises to Him who knows me when I lay down and when I rise up..Not the easiest thing to do"GIVING PRAISE IN THE MIDST OF CRISIS"but the best:"Lamentation praise"moves God from His rest to His office table and on His laptop to check the updates of your life!!!
Brokenness on earth will cause openness in Heaven...
There is always a ray of hope for all. I am one of all and you too are. Put on the garment of praise, begin to dance like David danced, refuse to be defeated, you may not have all that you need now but you have the ultimate that the whole world craves for." The Name of the Lord" It is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and they are safe. As many as call upon his Name shall be delivered. David defeated Goliath in the Name of the Lord. For this one time I refused to be defeated with worry and fear, instead put on my garment of praise and before I knew it,I had transferred this garment into my wife and she joined me in focusing our eyes to The Lord Jesus other than the pains she was going through and here was joy again in our home"THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH"
Happy to be called  Sons of God...
You too can conquer in his Name,"HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU" Heaven is waiting for you to take the lead. Brokenness on earth causes openness in heaven, a broken and contrite heart the Lord will not despise. Can you imagine how your life would be if you positioned yourself in the place that heaven sees you at, or you don't even know  that  position. Eph 2:6 says we are seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus, high above principalities and powers. The day I discovered that truth in my life is the day I began to chase all that was chasing me and today I can boldly encourage you to stand strong in the Lord and in the power of His might because only He has the ability to take you beyond recognition. He is my LORD and my God, the lifter of my life, in Him I live, move and have my being,"the beginner and the finisher of my faith!"  Mat 5:16  In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Blessings to you all,
Jeff

Joy comes In the Morning

New Day....

Every new day is a another opportunity for us to display the glory of God. I woke up this morning thinking about all that the Lord has been doing for others through me and that gave a lot of joy to my spirit. To live for God every day is not just words but total surrender. It is the kind of life that Enoch lived after encountering God in Genesis 5:24. All he desired was to please God with in all the details of his life. I know this is sacrifice but even our Lord Jesus Christ faced the cross and through that cross He was led to the heavenly places. All nations bow and confess that He is Lord. He is King of kings and Lord of lords. You can not even imagine what you life would become if you simply choose to glory in the Lord at all times. That speaks that your confidence, hope and faith is in God. There is rejoicing in heaven when the sons of God on earth begin to advance the King of kings reign wherever they go. All creation awaits for the manifestation of the sons of God, in fact creation is crying out. Even as I write this I am praying that their will be sons who will cease the moment and be an answered prayer to the cry of creation
I have shared with you what I've been pondering about this morning and I pray God speaks to you.

Be blessed and enjoy you walk in Christ,
Jeffrey

Life Has Challenges ...

God Is Ever Good!
June,  25, 2011

No doubts God has been good to me and and this gives me reason to live and to love, not in complaint but with a grateful heart. Thank you God, I bless and honor you for loving me so dearly. Friends I am today what was deposited in me yesterday. Through life's challenges God has taught me to live life profitably so I can profit wherever and whenever He gives me an assignment. All that God expects of us is to simply love and obey Him and when we do, that is a holy and acceptable sacrifice before Him. Some times I think about how I have lived my life, many are the time when I failed in God's assignments for me but through God's love and mercy, He has taken me through the process and today I rejoice in all that God allowed me to suffer. Because if it were not so, I dont think I would be what i am today

Philippians 4:10-13
Amplified Bible (AMP)
10I was made very happy in the Lord that now you have revived your interest in my welfare after so long a time; you were indeed thinking of me, but you had no opportunity to show it.
11Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be [a] content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am.
12I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want.
13I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who [b]infuses inner strength into me; I am [c]self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].

The gifts we have in this life are the people and relationships that God divinely connects to us. The more we avail our selves, be faithful to them, seek God through them and our willingness to learn from them; is what God uses to advance us and in turn His kingdom advances as well through us. Lets not kill but live lives that reconcile men back to their maker, that is a reasonable act of worship. On a big note i appreciate my dear parents; Paul and Pam Hunter for being the model father and Mother to the next generation. I and many others have been blessed and impacted through you, thanks so very much for pouring out your lives to us and simply loving us.

Colossians 1:19-20

Amplified Bible (AMP)
19For it has pleased [the Father] that all the divine fullness (the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes) should dwell in Him [a]permanently.
20And God purposed that through ([b]by the service, the intervention of) Him [the Son] all things should be completely reconciled [c]back to Himself, whether on earth or in heaven, as through Him, [the Father] made peace by means of the blood of His cross

One of the ways we know that we love God and are worshiping Him in Spirit and in Truth, Is by loving what He loves and adoring what He adores of which people and health relationships are the focus of is attention. That is to say; the more we love people, the more we attract God's attention and the more closeness to Him, the deeper the revelation of Him. The deeper the revelation of Him, the greater you will display Him beginning with your Jerusalem, then Judea, then Samaria and to the ends of the earth.

Blessings to you...

Worship Insights...

                                                   TRUE WORSHIPERS

God the father is in search of a particular caliber of people in every generation (Isaiah 6:8, psalms 89:20). From continent to continent he moves in search of such people who will worship him in spirit and in truth and such people are not common, they are scarce. There are millions of born again Christians all over the world and what one sees in them is different from what God is looking for. God has standards e.g in the days of Noah only 8 people made it, in the days of Moses only 2 people made it, in Jesus’ days only 120 received the baptism of the Holy spirit……..(Romans 6:1)
·         True worshipers are those who want to serve God anywhere, not necessarily in Samaria or Jerusalem. You carry the alter of God in you everywhere( Daniel 1:8)
·         True worshipers are ready to serve God under any condition that God has allowed (Acts 16:18-26). These men found themselves in prison yet they didn’t say” God, is this our reward for serving you faithfully”? Instead, they declared,” be exalted O Lord above the heavens”. A true worshiper of God must be sold out to God no matter the condition
·         True worshipers are ready to lay their lives down for God (Acts 21:11-14, Abraham, Daniel, Esther etc…..)
If there are true worshipers then there are also false worshipers (Mathew 15:8-9)
There is no man who can worship God in spirit and truth when the old man is still alive. Until the flesh and its activities come to an end in a man all he is doing before God as worship will not be accepted. (Galatians 4:12)
Who is the old Man? The adamic nature acquired after the fall of man in the Garden of Eden.
The relationship that has existed between the old man and us has been master/servant or husband/wife. We have obeyed and totally submitted to it, so the old man must die before we can be married to Jesus Christ (Colosians 3:5,1 cor11:2 ) there’s no way you can get into a marriage with a new husband and drag your old boyfriend along!.(Gal.5:16-24)
Works of the old man….. Eph 4:25-31, Eph 5:3-4, 1cor 6:9-10,1tim 1:9-10, Rev 21:8…. Though you have said no to the old man and have nailed it to the cross ,the moment you yield to any of the manifestations above you open the door for its operations once more in your life, this time round it will be a double portion( Matt 12:43-45). Therefore the only way to keep the old man out permanently is in Luke 9:23….a follower of Jesus has no right of his own, you cannot be conscious of yourself and also be a true worshiper of God.

Welcome To Worship Life!

While technology is not common to me, I want to start a blog that will make my views on worship available to those who may be interested.  From the time I received Jesus until now I have had a passion for worship.  My life is an expression of devotion and worship to God as I seek to honor Him in everything I do.  At the same time, there is a major need for corporate worship of God by those who have come to believe in His Son, Jesus Christ,.

Consequently, I want to begin to share with readers what God's Word and Spirit have taught me about the nature and expression of worship.  Any sources I discover which are also contributing to our understanding of worship will be included.  I also intend to post recordings of worship songs I have written, whether audio or video.

Levi & Lyzette
First let me introduce my family.  I married my sweetheart, Lyzette, in 2007, after we meet while students at Glad Tidings Bible College. Lyzette is God's perfect compliment to me.  She is Congolese, but has been willing to make a home with me here in Uganda.  Before the Lord blessed us with our children, Lyzette was very active in various kinds of ministry.  She gave herself fully to it.  Now that she has children, she has adopted the same kind of passion for training them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.  The Scriptures says a good wife is from the Lord.  For sure Lyzette is a good wife and she is from the Lord.  I'm blessed to have her as my life partner.

Dave with Mama Pam
In November of 2007 God blessed us with our first son, Dave.  He is a quiet, thoughtful, and often serious boy with great observation skills.  His brother was added to our family in July 17, 2010.  Levi was the name we gave him at the suggestion of my American mother, Pam Hunter.  Pam and her husband Paul have a deep love for Uganda and its people and serve here with Next Generation Ministries.  My grandmother was the one who raised me and provided for all my needs as I grew up.  Although my mother and dad were and are still alive, they never married and never took any interest in being my parents.

Levi, Lyzette, & me with Mom Pam
I had no model as a child for what a good husband or father would be like.  But, God in His faithfulness has granted me insight along with my hearts desire to provide for my children what I never had as a child.  I want them to live in a two parent home with a stability that allows them to grow to love the Lord Jesus as I have come to love Him.
